Saturday, February 28 to Sunday, March 1, 10 am to 4:30 pm (two classes)
This class takes advantage of the McMichael’s spectacular setting to create high-quality, memorable images in beautiful winter light. Participants will learn and implement various techniques to create well-exposed, artistic photos of nature scenes, landscapes, close-up/macro subjects, and people in this exciting two-day workshop.
Participants are expected to understand basic photography theory: ISO, aperture, shutter speeds, depth-of-field, and disk formats.
Equipment needed: 35mm SLR camera, sturdy tripod Optional: macro lenses or close-up filters, laptop
Please note: A half-hour lunch break is included. Please bring your own lunch.
Speaker/Instructor/Guest Information:
Steve Somerville is an internationally published photojournalist and has won numerous awards for his photography. He is currently a photographer for Metroland Media Group and has been leading creative photography workshops in York Region for six years.
