Not only are attendees guests of the beautiful, historic Tampa Theatre for the evening, but they will also enjoy an authentic red carpet experience: the event begins at 6:30 p.m. with the Red Carpet Reception, including a limo ride around the block and a walk along the red carpet past adoring fans and paparazzi, with “Roan Jivers” announcing your star-studded arrival. Once inside, patrons can sample scrumptious appetizers, get hair and makeup touch-ups by the professionals from Paul Mitchell the School, and peruse silent auction items representing local businesses.
The OSCAR® Red Carpet Live pre-show telecast will begin at 7pm, followed by ABC’s live telecast of the 86th Annual Academy Awards on the big screen at 8:30pm. There will be a cash bar all night long, and those guests who stay until the Best Picture is announced at the end of the telecast will enjoy doughnuts and coffee in the lobby. This event is not sponsored by or affiliated with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Guests are encouraged to show off their star status with a movie-themed costume, or let the glamour of Hollywood inspire an outfit!
Tickets are $30 for general admission and $25 for Tampa Theatre Members at the box office or online (service fees apply.) All proceeds benefit Tampa Theatre’s artistic and educational programs and ongoing restoration.
