Seattle: Try Capoeira at Belltown CC (H.U.M.P. Day)

Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art that combines martial arts, dance and culture, and this is a special drop-in event tailored to new students where you can try it! Expect to get a good workout through a series or aerobic warmups, stretches and practice of capoeira movements.

Those who practice capoeira regularly earn physical and emotional strength, balance, rhythm, coordination, positive energy and respect for others while creating lasting new friendships in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Capoeira is a full body and mental workout, come check it out!

Wear loose-fitting fitting clothes, such as sweatpants and a t-shirt, and bare feet. You need to be able to move freely in all directions, including upside down and sideways. Shorts are discouraged.

This event is party of Belltown Community Center’s Healthy Urban Movement Parties Series (H.U.M.P.) We feature a different fitness event every second Wednesday of each month from 6-7:30pm.
