Murfreesboro Little Theatre is presenting Ken Ludwig’s Moon over Buffalo Directed By Ryan Vogel. Come out and audition Jan 26 & Jan 27 from 6 to 8 pm.

About the Show

Charlotte and George Hay are on tour in Buffalo in 1953 with a repertory consisting of Cyrano de Bergerac “revised, one nostril version” and Noel Coward’s Private Lives, when they receive word that they might just have one last shot at stardom:

Frank Capra is coming to town to see their matinee.

A play stuffed with comic invention, running gags, shtick, and a neat sense of absurdity.

Cast Needs
(4 Women, 4 Men)

The ages listed are suggestions for the characters, however casting depends more on comic timing and understanding of the character rather than actual age or look.
All adults 18 and up are encouraged to audition for any part that interests them.

•George Hay, a traveling actor. (Late 30’s to Early 50’s)
•Charlotte Hay, George’s wife and actress in his company. (Late 30’s to Early 50’s)
•Rosalind, Roz, George & Charlotte’s daughter, who left the stage to lead a “normal” life. (18 to mid 30’s)
•Howard, a TV weatherman and Rosalind’s fiancé. (18 to mid 30’s)
•Paul, stage manager for George’s company, and Rosalind’s ex-fiancé. (18- mid 30’s)
•Ethel, Charlotte’s nearly-deaf mother. (Early 50’s to 80’s)
•Richard, a love sick lawyer who is courting Charlotte. (Late 30’s to Early 60’s)
•Eileen, an actress in George’s company who was George’s “one-night-stand.” (18 to late 30’s)

Auditions will consist of Cold Readings From the Script.
