The Parisian Salon is a series of three concerts enjoying the wealth of creativity in poetry and music that emerged from the domestic and public salons of Paris in the 19th and early 20th centuries, which were also the cradles of artistic innovation. Théophile Gautier and Charles Baudelaire were pivotal figures in Parisian 19th century culture. This second programme focuses on the poems of Gautier, performed by French singers from Guildhall School, and includes songs by Berlioz, Fauré , Duparc, Offenbach, as well as some lesser known gems.
Address: The Hall, St Botolph without Bishopsgate, Bishopsgate, London
